Hernia Surgery
A hernia occurs when an internal portion of the body (e.g., an organ or tissue) pushes through a weakness in the muscle or surrounding tissue wall from where it normally dwells, resulting in a visible bulge. This can happen everywhere on the body, but the groin is the most prevalent. Hernias are often treated surgically, which entails putting the displaced organ or tissue back into position and repairing the weaker portion of the muscle or tissue wall.
