Dr. Hasnat Zaman Zim

Dr. Hasnat is a highly skilled Laparoscopic and Cancer Surgery Specialist Surgeon with over 12 years of clinical experience in the field in Bangladesh. He specializes in performing Laparoscopic Surgery for numerous benign, malignant and emergency abdominal conditions. He also takes a special interest in performing Upper GI Surgery (e.g., gastric cancer), Endoscopy and Laparoscopic Hernia Surgery. He has published numerous scientific articles and has presented at prestigious national and international conferences.
  • Graduated from Bangladesh Medical College and obtained MBBS from Dhaka University in 2011.
  • Obtained Fellowship in Surgery (Surgery) from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in 2017.
  • Obtained MS in Surgical Oncology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in 2023.
  • He is an affiliated life member of many prestigious national and international surgical societies including the Hernia Society of Bangladesh (HSB), Society of Endo-Laparoscopic Surgeons of Bangladesh (SELSB) and the Society of Surgeon, Bangladesh (SOSB).
  • He has undertaken intensive higher surgical training through various courses in the fields of Minimally Invasive Surgery, Hernia Surgery and Onco-Surgery.
  • He is a certified Basic Surgical Skills trainer and a faculty for surgical training at BCPS.
  • He is a certified instructor of Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS ®) Course.
  • He is a regular trainer of Basic Computer Skills/ICT course for doctors at BCPS.
  • He is currently an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Dhaka Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). Between 2017 and 2020, Dr. Hasnat served as an Assistant Professor of Surgery in Dhaka Central International Medical College.
